Gregorian globalism

Writes: Ognjen Vojvodić

October 5, 1582 was established as October 15, 1582   the first day of the Gregorian Catholic calendar.By the papal bull of Gregory XIII, the days between October 5 and 14 were erased as if they did not exist. The Catholic states of Italy, Spain, and Portugal were the first to apply the Catholic calendar. England adopted the Gregorian calendar in the 18th century in 1752. The Kingdom of Yugoslavia adopted the Catholic calendar on January 10, 1919, but only as a state calendar. The last country to adopt the Gregorian calendar as the official one is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which did so in 2016. According to the Julian calendar, the year lasts 365 days and 6 hours, while according to the Gregorian calendar it is shortened to 365 days, 5 hours, 49 minutes and 12 seconds. The slight difference of 11 minutes was the reason to make a great shift of the day in the calendar through the centuries and to break the calendar unity of Christians.

POPE’S CHANGE OF THE ORTHODOX CALENDAR

In the era of informatics, technological progress of cosmic proportions, in a world networked with computer systems, in the age of biotechnological modification of nature and people, programming of man’s past and future, hope and memory – creating a cumbersome global syncretistic surrogate of one world religion is unnecessary. The Old Testament Babylonian project has been surpassed, the architects of the New Babylonian project have bypassed religions and languages as decorative cultural-religious differences of democratic rights. The new Babylonian leveling is not a formal merging of languages and peoples, but the erasure of the `past` and the programming of new memory, the transformation of historical truth and consciousness; erasing „old“ and loading new historical „truths“, forming and formatting uniform memory, to global equality in „memory“, in fact oblivion.

„Whoever controls the past controls the present, and whoever controls the present creates the future,“ writes George Orwell in his anti-utopian essays. All empires in history have introduced their own calendars, their own historical politics of memory, creating a desirable political past and perspective of future events. The unique project of historical and identity engineering, the archetype of modern political consciousness programming systems, the Euro-Atlantic mission of „soft power“, time and life management, historical memory and prediction – represents the papal change of Julian Christian, and the establishment of a new, supposedly more accurate Gregorian Catholic Gregory of the 16th century.

On the day of the proclamation of the change of the calendar on October 15, 1582, the papal calendar was accepted by the Roman Catholic states of Poland, Spain and Portugal, and three months later by France and Lorraine. Other Roman Catholic countries later adopted the Gregorian calendar. There was resistance from the population in the Roman Catholic kingdoms as well, because many considered it a political non-Christian decision, but due to the state’s strict implementation of Roman Catholic law, the population had to agree to state religious laws. Protestant states opposed the acceptance of the papal calendar and there were local religious wars within certain European cities and areas. Most Protestant states and communities accepted the Roman Catholic reform of the calendar until 1700. Britain accepted the Roman Catholic reform of the calendar in 1752.

From the Middle Ages to the present day, the Roman Catholic imposition of the Gregorian calendar has been the matrix of the „soft power“ mission. The papal project of remembrance through the change of the Julian calendar, under the pretext of a more precise time calculation, represents a paradigm of modern projects of historical engineering and religious revisionism, erasing „old“ histories and calendars of ancient peoples and religions, and imposing a „new“ global history and future. As in the 16th century, the imposition of the Gregorian calendar today is a means of imposing papal authority, papal will „both on earth and in heaven“, the inviolable earthly and spiritual authority of the papacy as the personification of Euro-Atlantic ecumenism and „planetary“ paternalism.

The reason for the Roman Catholic reform of the Julian calendar is the establishment of a global Gregorian „calculation“ of history, not just time – the calculation of time is the reason, and the cause is historical and religious revisionism, programming of memory, and according to memory the appropriate political future. Today we would say – the establishment of a media monopoly of planetary scope on the imposition of a global policy of memory, loading the past, controlling the present and creating the future.

The question of changing the calendar is – will we switch to someone else’s calendar, and not a more accurate one, will we renounce the Orthodox and accept the „new“ historical truth, other religious and political authorities of history, and thus the future? In this context, the first question of the church calendar is with whom we will be with, and not when we will celebrate religious holidays. Preserving the order of the Julian calendar is first of all a question of the history and catholicity of the Church, national and cultural policy of the people and the state, and last but not least a question of precise calculation of time.

Respect for a certain calendar holiday canon builds a culture of memory and national consciousness of the people. Calendar culture builds continuity and politics of memory, and a kind of `perspective of memory`. A break with calendar continuity is a break with cultural continuity. By reducing the calendar to an extraordinary time, man loses his cultural and historical landmark in time and space, history and future. The people, deprived of calendar cults and canons, become part of another calendar continuity and culture, other people’s organized system of `politics of memory`, other people’s cultural-religious and geopolitical projects of the future, national projects of peoples controlling the past and present and creating the future.

The „New Calendar“ leveling is a kind of religious Babylonian mixing, which in the first degree mixing means the transition to the unity of Euro-American religious and political dates, the establishment of Eurocentric equality of historical memory, while in the second level means complete erasure of history and memory. The project of „new calendar“ leveling is also a program of erasing the dates of major moving holidays from the calendar of the Orthodox Church, which means erasing awareness of the religious significance and meaning of Christian holidays, as in Euro-American „Christian“ profane holiday culture.

NEW CALENDAR PROPAGANDA

Modern secularism uses a more effective anti-religious social doctrine than the revolutionary prohibition of religiosity – it relativizes religious differences and the truths of faith and emphasizes the special aspects of religions. The modern atheist agenda encourages areligiosity and religious indifference. The aggressive atheistic persecution of the church often encourages respect for the faith, while the propagation of general religious rights encourages areligiosity. Such a common place in the mission of religious relativism, through its commitment to a return to universal Christian unity, is to reduce the religious significance of the calendar to the question of a more precise calculation of time.

Gregorianscher_Kalender_Petersdom

Modern propaganda of the global one-calendar goes beyond man’s earthly impulses, points to the laws of nature, progress, consumer society, the will of the majority, the ‘world’, other believers, unbelievers, and in the first place religiously indifferent. The propaganda of the new calendar reduces the issue of the church calendar to a second-rate political issue, from theological-historical to the level of a „scientific“ democratic agreement – the position of public opinion. Today’s advocacy of the new calendar among the Orthodox is not a sign of proselytism, imposition of other religious and historical „truths“, but pragmatism, consumer choice of more economical religiosity, ecumenical conformism, democracy, adjustment to the international ecumenical and economic order, a kind of economic ecumenism.

The question of the Gregorian calendar is no longer posed as a need for a supposedly more accurate calculation of time, but as a democratic question, a matter of the principle of majority, but a certain, desirable geopolitical majority; and that superior side for some of our politicians and pastors is not Orthodox Russia, which makes up the majority of Orthodox believers, but the papal-Protestant side, and those local Orthodox churches, that is, states that became members of NATO’s Euro-Atlantic military pact after the transition to the papal calendar. .

The New Calendar propaganda does not mention the Russian Orthodox Church, which has 90% of all Orthodox believers, as well as the Georgian, Armenian and Coptic Churches, and the Jerusalem Patriarchate, which also respects the Julian calendar. The non-Christian intentions of the New Calendar propaganda are especially revealed in the non-mention of the Holy Mount Athos, the center of Orthodox spirituality, where the Julian calendar is still respected, and the Gregorian calendar is rejected as papal proselytism. Encouraged by the power of the Euro-Atlantic Alliance, as the only argument for their ‘scientific’ and ‘theological’ claims, politicians and pastors of proselytism are inviting Orthodox Serbs to join the Euro-Atlantic religious union by propagating the new calendar. The pastor of progress told the Orthodox Serbs: – We cannot ask, like the political ones,

‘Christians who adhere to the Gregorian calendar celebrate Christmas Eve tomorrow’, ‘Christians who celebrate the Gregorian calendar celebrate Easter tomorrow’, ‘all Christian churches that have adopted the Gregorian calendar will hold a service tomorrow’ – so on the public media services of Serbia and Montenegro announce Roman Catholic Christmas and Easter, as if it were a matter of time-consequential, formal-religious difference in the celebration of identical papal-Protestant holidays in relation to Orthodox, which in the same atheistic glossary are called ‘Christian believers and churches adhering to the Julian calendar and the Eastern Rite. ‘ Such a media mission of „soft power“ imposes on religiously uneducated Orthodox people a misconception of the Christian faith, that is, that between the Orthodox Church, and Roman Catholics and Protestants, there is no essential spiritual and dogmatic difference, except for the time-calendar. The illusion is systematically created that Orthodox, Roman Catholics and Protestants respect the same spiritual principles, dogmatically and canonically established the same truths of the faith, that Orthodoxy, Roman Catholicism and Protestantism are the same, except in the inconsistency of calendar deadlines, which is a consequence of calendar disagreement.

According to such assumptions, Orthodox believers are recommended religious Euro-Atlantic integration, to move to another church calendar in the process of political transition, and to pass Orthodoxy along with our one-party past; to join the political-economic European institutions, to join the union of the old-new papal-Protestant Eurocentric religious order. The issue of the „old“ and „new calendars“ is posed as another Orthodox obstacle to the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Balkan peoples. In February 2012, the European Council decided to grant Serbia the status of a candidate for membership in the European Union, since when the proselytizing activities of the papal prelates in Serbia have intensified. Since then, the Archbishop of Belgrade has openly invited Orthodox Serbs to spiritual and political unity in the European Union,

YUGOSLAV ACCEPTANCE OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CALENDAR

Generations separated from their history easily move on to other people’s and „new“ history, to „new“ and other people’s calendars, new holidays and traditions. The hundred-year-old Yugoslav non-historical brotherhood and unity in the souls of the Yugoslav generations of Serbs has relativized religious values. Generations of Serbs raised in Yugoslav ecumenism or communism, the cult of an infidel and foreign leader, easily accept the cult of the „infallible“ Roman pope, as the universal father of the world – a surrogate of lost heavenly fatherhood, and the papal calendar as a surrogate of rejected history and ancestral traditions.

In the project and formation of Yugoslavia, the state creation of the „three-named“ and „multi-religious“ people, the introduction of the Gregorian calendar, as a revisionist project, had a programmatic purpose. Yugoslav ecumenism meant changing the „old“ Serbian Orthodox history and establishing a hybrid Yugoslav Serbo-Croatian-Slovenian common past and memory, and thus creating the preconditions for a common Yugoslav future. The transition to the Gregorian calendar had the function of achieving discontinuity in the historical and political consciousness of the Serbian people of Orthodox memory and tradition.

The Gregorian calendar was introduced in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in the first month of its formation the Law on Equalization of the Old and New Calendars of January 10, 1919, published in the first issue of the Official Gazette of the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. This law stipulates that on the day of January 15, 1919, according to the Julian calendar, the Julian calendar ceases to be valid, and that on January 28, 1919, the calculation of time according to the Gregorian calendar is introduced. In the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and Slovenes in 1919, after January 14 according to the Julian calendar, on Savindan, January 28 of the Gregorian calendar was celebrated.

Since Croats and Slovenes, as Roman Catholics, used the Gregorian calendar, the introduction of the Gregorian calendar in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia practically represented a transition to the Gregorian calendar of the Kingdom of Serbia, as well as the institutions of the former Kingdom of Montenegro and the Serbian Orthodox people from Vardar to Triglav. The translation of the Serbian Orthodox Church into the Catholic calendar is planned as part of the Yugoslav proselytizing project and the Uniate mission to the Orthodox Churches of the Balkans and the Middle East. The participation of the Serbian-Yugoslav delegation in the so-called All-Orthodox Congress in Constantinople in 1923, convened by the imposed Patriarch of Constantinople Meletije Metastakis – an exponent of Euro-Atlantic strategy in Constantinople – the „Eastern Pope“, as the Holy Father Justin Popovic called. At that gathering, organized to translate Orthodox churches into the Gregorian calendar, three Orthodox autocephalous churches were present: Greece, Romania and Serbia with a Yugoslav delegation. The closest Orthodox churches to the Patriarchate of Constantinople and the Historical Patriarchates, of Antioch, Jerusalem and Alexandria, refused to attend the congress. The Gregorian calendar was imposed on the Greek and Romanian churches by political pressure, and it is not true that the Alexandrian and Antiochian churches then voluntarily accepted the Catholic calendar – on the contrary, it was imposed on them under pressure and blackmail. After the Congress of Melentius, the Patriarch of Alexandria Photius, with Gregory of Antioch, Damianos of Jerusalem and Cyril of Cyprus, convened a Council at which it was decided to reject the Gregorian calendar,

It is naive to think that the reason for the papal change of the calendar was more precise calculation of time, because the Julian accumulates a mistake of one day every 128 years, while the Gregorian makes that mistake every 3,300 years, and is closer to a tropical year than the Julian, etc. Unfortunately, many learned Serbs in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia thought so, and at the so-called All-Orthodox Congress in Constantinople, as a contribution to the unification of the world, they offered Milanković’s most precise calendar calculation. Milutin Milanković’s contribution to world science is recognized – his calculations of cyclical climate change on Earth, and ice age theory – but to give the place of theologian to physicist and cosmologist, „professor of celestial mechanics“, to arbitrate as an astrophysicist in church matters by equating the Orthodox and Catholic calendar canons. both additional „accuracy“, he was a typical example of Yugoslav atheistic internationalism. The Yugoslav protagonists of the New Calendar could not openly preach the ideology of the utopia of Masonic Babylonian mixing of peoples and cultures or the transition to Roman Catholicism, so they stated the alleged reasons for economic ecumenism for the introduction of the Gregorian calendar. It was pointed out that by switching to the Gregorian calendar, the celebration of double holidays will be avoided, which causes great damage to the economy, „which can no longer be tolerated.“ so they cited the alleged reasons for economic ecumenism for the introduction of the Gregorian calendar. It was pointed out that by switching to the Gregorian calendar, the celebration of double holidays will be avoided, which causes great damage to the economy, „which can no longer be tolerated.“ so they cited the alleged reasons for economic ecumenism for the introduction of the Gregorian calendar. It was pointed out that by switching to the Gregorian calendar, the celebration of double holidays will be avoided, which causes great damage to the economy, „which can no longer be tolerated.“

Professor Milutin Milanković was not only fascinated by astrophysics in denying religious reasons in the proposal for the introduction of the Gregorian calendar, but also by the ideological and political program. The Yugoslav delegation did not mind that the Bolshevik government introduced the Gregorian calendar in the Soviet Union, but it did not force the Russian Church to do so. In Russia, that is, the Soviet Union, the Gregorian calendar was introduced by the Bolsheviks, and in Serbia and the Kingdom of Yugoslavia – by the Yugoslav government and the King of Yugoslavia, but they failed to force the Serbian Church to switch to the Gregorian calendar. The Romanian church and state were a project of proselytism of the ecumenical Euro-Atlantic program, as well as of Yugoslavia, which was announced by the participation of the Romanian church in the so-called All-Orthodox Congress and the acceptance of the Gregorian calendar.

INTRODUCTION OF THE CATHOLIC CALENDAR TO THE GREEK CHURCH

The unity of the Orthodox Churches was not disturbed until 1923, when the politically imposed Patriarch of Constantinople, Meletius, accepted the papal calendar, and then imposed it on the Greek Church. From the time Pope Gregory introduced his calendar in 1582 and disrupted the Christian simultaneous celebration of Orthodox and Roman Catholic church holidays, until 1922, when the first Orthodox Church switched to the papal calendar, the papal calendar change was an incentive for Orthodox churches to preserve Holy Tradition and through the preservation of the Julian calendar.

The history of the imposition of the Gregorian calendar on the Greek Church, i.e. the political-proselytizing pressure under which the Greek Church introduced the Gregorian calendar is covered up by the New Calendar propaganda, and the Greek New Calendar is presented to the Orthodox Churches as a recommendation to accept the Gregorian calendar. At the time of the introduction of the Gregorian calendar in the Greek Church, Greece was in a less favorable geopolitical position than in 1453, under the Ottoman siege of Constantinople, when the European alliance conditioned military aid to Constantinople by accepting the papal union. The Greek Church and people – internally under pressure from the revolutionary authorities in Greece, externally under Turkish and blackmail from the Atlantic Alliance, with the imposed Patriarch of Constantinople,

The Greek Emanuel Metaxakis (1871-1935), known in monasticism as Meletios, a freemason and formally Orthodox monk, was the patriarch of Constantinople from 1921 to 1923, when he tried, like the pope, to replace the primacy of honor with the primacy of power. „On December 9, 1921, the Holy Synod of the Greek Church overthrew Meletius Metaxakis for a number of similar violations of canon law, as well as for causing a schism. Despite this decision, Meletius was enthroned on the throne of the Archbishops of Constantinople on January 24, 1922, and then, under great political pressure, the verdict on Meletius’ overthrow was revoked on September 24 of the same year. “ Metaxakis) Metropolitan, Archbishop, Pope and Patriarch. Professor Fr. Miletic further writes: „Soon, with the support of the Patriarch of Constantinople Meletius,

Patriarch Meletius convened the so-called „All-Orthodox Congress“ in Constantinople, from May 10 to June 8, 1923, which, contrary to church council decisions, decided that the Patriarchate of Constantinople should switch to the Gregorian calendar. „On December 24 of the same year, Metropolitan Chrysostom convened the Council of Bishops, to which he proposed a ‘middle’ solution: to formalize the Gregorian calendar with the old Passover. All the work was done in such a hurry that on January 20, 1924, he obtained the consent of Constantinople. Thus, the Holy Synod of the Greek Orthodox Church switched to the „New Julian Calendar“, a hybrid between the Church and Papal calendars, which keeps Easter according to the Church calendar and adopts the papal moon for all fixed holidays. „In Orthodox countries, the All-Orthodox Congress an attack on the centuries-old Orthodox liturgical unity. The decision to switch to the papal calendar caused dissatisfaction among Orthodox believers, and street riots in Constantinople. Dissatisfied Orthodox Greeks demolished the patriarchate, and Patriarch Meletius suffered physical injuries. After completing the task of introducing the Gregorian calendar, Meletius left Constantinople and the throne of the patriarch.

The late Serbian Patriarch Pavle writes about the dramatic events of the violent translation of the Greek state and church into the Gregorian calendar in his work „The Attitude of the Serbian Orthodox Church towards the Old and New Calendar“: „The unity of Easter celebrations In addition to the new calendar, a new Passover was adopted, and according to it, Roman Catholics can celebrate Easter together with the Jewish Passover, and even before it. Until 1923, the principle of joint celebration not only of Easter, but also of immovable holidays, was valid in the entire Orthodox Church. When the Greek state introduced the Gregorian calendar in February 1923, it was clearly stated that the Julian calendar remained in the church. However, unexpectedly, the newly elected Archbishop Chrysostom, already on March 10, 1923, brings to the Council of the Greek Hierarchy the need to move the church to a new calendar. The Parliament decided that all Orthodox churches, especially the Patriarchate of Constantinople, should be seriously consulted on this matter. The matter started with an accelerated course, so in December of the same year, the Council of the Greek Hierarchy was convened, at which it was concluded that the Gregorian calendar should be important for fixed holidays, and the Julian calendar for mobile ones. The Council of the Church of Constantinople agreed to this proposal on January 20, 1924, and the Greek Church switched to a new calendar, declaring March 10, 1924, March 23. This unusually fast, and completely unprepared transition to the new calendar, caused a severe old calendar split in the Greek Church. What were the reasons for the Archbishop and the Greek Church to prepare the clergy and the faithful without preparation? and without a previous change of opinion with other Orthodox churches, so abruptly switch to the Gregorian calendar? Orthodox Greeks, who did not want to switch to the papal calendar, declared not only the Greek Church an apostate from Orthodoxy, but also all Orthodox churches that remained with the Julian calendar, but have canonical and liturgical ties with Greece and those churches that later received new ones. calendar. The attempt to quell this schism by force only deepened the rift between them and the official Greek Church. „

In the presentation to the Holy Synod of Bishops of the Serbian Orthodox Church, dated May 7, 1977, about the Patriarch of Constantinople Meletius and his so-called To the All-Orthodox Congress, Archimandrite Justin Popović writes: „The issue of preparing and holding the new Ecumenical Council of the Orthodox Church is neither new nor recent in this century of our Church history. This question was raised during the time of the unfortunate Patriarch of Constantinople, Meletius Metastakis, a well-known conceited modernist, reformer and creator of divisions in Orthodoxy, at his so-called „All-Orthodox Congress“ in Constantinople in 1923. „

Greek theologian Alexander Kalomyros, in his book „Against False Unity“, writes about the acceptance of the Gregorian calendar in Greece: „The liturgical unity of the Church is risky in favor of political interests. The change of the calendar was followed by the disruption of the liturgical harmony between the Greek Church and other Orthodox Churches, which keep the old calendar to this day. And not only is the matter inconsistent with the liturgical life of the militant Church, but the harmony of liturgical life between the militant and triumphant Church is also disturbed. When church bells ring in Greece and call the faithful to celebrate Christmas and singers sing  Christ’s Nativity, celebrate, millions of our Orthodox brothers around the world and on the Holy Mountain are still in the fast of the coming coming of the Savior and they do not hear the bells and do not sing Christmas songs with us. We are thus alienated not only from other Orthodox, but also from all Orthodox who preceded us, from the triumphant Church of those who fell asleep in Christ and from the saints who celebrated and served the liturgy according to the old calendar which we rejected. „
